Vairochana Buddha

Vairochana means finest, purest and spotless. Or Vailochana means fine wise eye. He is just like a filter which can filter our mind to get finer and purified. He is also like a wise eye to do justify for good.

He is awakened and aware Buddha. He is pure and finest form of Buddha. He is the wisdom of all pervasive wisdom (Newari Sanskrit: Suvisuddha Gyan). He knows all dimensional wisdoms of entire universal activities. He is said as the youngest Buddha among five Buddha because he came at the last to purify all the wisdom. He is also described that he is born in Buddha family and became lord of Buddha land because all the past wisdoms are parent of this Buddha from which he filtered and made it pure wisdom. Because of this Buddha all activities became meaningful and worthy.

His cool and pure wisdom is glowing gloriously and radiantly as moon. As the moon is reflected light of Sun, wisdom of awareness is also reflected from entire process of universal activities. He knows all the past happened activities and taken lessons from it so that he is determined to be pure and true in present and future. Moon is useful in the night time. Entire universe is created for experiencing and to gain wisdom.

He knows all types of knowledge of meritorious works and sinful works so he is aware from going to sinful works and determined to perform meritorious work. He lives in every creature as the soul in the awakened form. He is determined to make all creatures pure and clean and peaceful.

He is water element to wash away all illusion of ignorance and to purify all creatures' mind. Water is always pure and used for making others pure. Water takes away all dirt and makes everybody clean and self becomes clean after evaporation. Water is present in all three states such as solid when it freezes, liquid when it is normal and gas when it is heated. He is also said as a lord of justice, duty, virtue and merit. He does right judgment for all creatures equally. This is only one purest Buddha without any faults and sin. Being aware and awaken is only one option to be free from dirt like sin; there is no other alternative of it. This is the real peaceful stage of soul and it is possible only from the wisdom.

In our daily life, the pure and awakened form of soul or wisdom is in the morning time after we wake up from the deep sleep. In this time our mind is pure, peaceful and sinless. Our mind is always playful so it does not want to remain in silent. We always have to control our playful mind. It is very hard to control but our experiences of past will always guide us to be in truth and peace. Truth gives us courage to defeat all poisons like ignorance, passion, eagerness. Then, we can live our life conveniently and without fear.

He is riding on Simha (mythical lion). Lion is a guard of Dharma who protects truth and punishes liars. He is symbolized by Book of wisdom because he knows all dimensional knowledge. All dimensional knowledge means he has knowledge of every direction such as four directions, four corner directions, upward and downward direction. It also means he has knowledge of all possible creatures of sky, earth and water. He has knowledge of king to beggar and same as oldest creatures to youngest creatures, living and non living beings. He has knowledge of the earth, heaven and hell. His body color is pure white.

He is placed at the center of the stupa as the soul of stupa. He is also kept at South East corner in Swoyambhunath stupa. He is represented by tongue as a sensational organ which can taste. Position of his hand is said as Dharma chakra mudra, which is for turning wheel of law of duties. Dharma means virtue, duty, justice and religion. Buddha said that our duties should be good for all. And these duties are as follows. (1) Generosity; charity to poor and troubled people, (2) Morality; good behavior to all, (3) Keeping Patience or pardon giving: keeping patience and hoping for good or giving pardon even though some one is harming you, (4) Effort; be brave to work for good anytime, (5) Concentration; concentrated for being and doing well and achievement, (6) Wisdom; wise for being compassionate to all.
