 Editor's word- "This is an article on Newa, an ethnic group of people who's origin is Kathmandu. Here in this article I am trying to share the history and myths of Newa origin in my own narration. This is based on what I heard from scholars, elders and debates. Furthermore, it is based on some mythological books I read and what and how it could possibly be the origin of Newa. Narration will start from the origin of kathmandu valley but the examples as a proof would be spoken on some old events older than the origin of the valley, that has a readon. KATHMANDU Kathmandu is the capital and largest city of Nepal. It bears a population of around 1.5 million at current. This city is also known as the city of temples. A lot of Pagoda temples, Shikhara saili temples, and Stupas are found scattered inside the valley in numerous quantity. This is a valley that occupies total of 665 sq. km. The native people living in valley are called “Newar”. In Newar language this valley is called Nepal Mandal. The valley has been a home of Newar people since ancient history and is one of the oldest human civilization find in Asia.
