A difference everybody must see !

Today's topic is on child labor. What is child labor? In general we think that if a child is given risky, tough work to do then it is child labor. But what does this mean? Should not we allow our kids work at home or help elders at home? What are the benefits and losses of it? What is happening now a days with kids? Why they all wait for their expected work but not working and using the time they are wasting their time on phones? Furthermore we can talk about the consequences of both benefits and losses of child labor.

Let's start with an example of Nepal as one that can represent on the behalf of developing countries of the globe. I am not talking about the registered dates here since I want to make this post a simple and familiar post so that can reach out and touch real problem of our life. Nepal in around 70 years back. Lifestyle was simple. No such big dreams to have a castle. No such desires to fly in plane. Life was just as simple as it could be. Most of the people were farmers. Some were in other affairs like business, service like tailoring, and some in government offices. Men use to handle affairs outside house and females were versative for multitasking quality they got in born. Men most of the time spent in work and when leisure time comes they gather in community space for recreation that is mostly the temple areas. Women works at home for preparing food and make everyone ready for thier task. Feed the youngsters fetch water from the community well. They do gossips in such places sometimes but most of the other time in day they go and help their husband or parents in the farm. And in the time of evening they prepare food. And most of the teenage girls know how to weave cloths at their homes. In most houses they have their own garment manufacturing machine. When I say it a machine that is not electrical. They are manual working mechanism made out of wood and threads with a paddle and a mouse that traps thread to send right to left and vice versa while making cloths. And preparing food is not just as easy as it seems today. We buy everything to save time. However, then people prepare their igredients, their staples by themselves. Like for dinner if they have to cook Roti (plain flour bread basically round in shape cooked over a dry pan) they fetch the wheat grains. They sow the hays out of grains. Then they put it in a "Kutu" a machine basically made on the ground floor of the house that works on the basis of lever system. The pressure is applied near fulcrum and remaining other part of the wood has a hammer like structure. It removes helps to remove hay from grains. Then they grind the grains in a round stones and force is applied any direction clockwise or anticlockwise to turn the upper part of the grinding stone wheels. All children helps their mother for all these domestic affaires like such. Girls help especailly on weaving and washing cloths but that doesn't mean boys don't help on such. So kids help their parents and entire time their day is passed busy. They never complain for not having free time since they enjoy it together any work they have. That made a happy life for families or for the country. Now let's talk about the '80s around 30 years from now. Then already country has moved on with business. The manufaturing of clothes at the homes were nearly extinct. Only we could hear the machine in the ancient city of Bhaktapur. In Kathmandu and Patan cities the culture of producing clothes at the homes just stopped then. No more working hard for preparing ingredients to cook. Everythings were easily available at shops. People has started to get more leisure time. Children got more active in playing than before. But then in cities some carpet industries some kids were seen working helping their parents. Just playing in the streets won't help anything and also not always all children get leisure time at same. So they helped their parents. It was not risky. In some hotels some kids were seen working to help their parents financially washing dish and hleping in kitchens. It was not the labor since they were given none risky work. They were given the habit of working. They were taught in the childhood that workind is important. It kills time, it makes us skillful, it makes us responsible, it teach us how to live our life with no such silly desires to waste time or to be stubborn to demand things to the parents. 80 years back we were self dependent country. 40 years back we were still developing country in terms of practice and morality.
Now let's talk about the kids these days. Kids don't like to work in farm. If they work there they need a photo of it and after that they will elope form the farm. They wants to be viral and waste their time in smart phones. They even say childrens' are not supposed to be sent to work. They hesitate to touch the mud. They hesitate to work in arts field in their traditional profession. They want to look clean and work in high facilitated offices. They don't even know if they deserve such job as per qualification. Even if they get such chance to work there, instead of trying hard to prove they deserve it they say the boss or the system is not favorable to staffs like them. Just excuses they bring. When they see others working at farm, jewelary, tailooring, arts any field they find is easy but never try to find out themselves that those simple looking things actually are hard job. It consumes time and teach us to be human. But the learners of excuses of this generation they will just bring the excuse and blame others for their failure in their task.
So, in the name of child labor our country has been destroyed. Industries are being shut because those children in the gap of '90s most of them learnt the excuses and worked less in industries and our national industries got shut.
Now in abroad there are some teenagers who are said they are self made millionaires who works on their idea and setup their business. They are working hard with technologies because they got access to it. And it was same for Nepal and many developing nations that were self dependent and never had to bow down to technologies. And b'coz of which they were productive, healthy, wise, and the most happy since they all live in a family. None has to go away of their home. But here also let me point out that, some people say if children don't go away they get limited to learn. But in real if they go away they will experience violences that they can not share with their parents. Since they chose to go out for their work. And alos most of the times they forget those violences by others because they need financial facility for the family. Then there are some expections too like some people can get enought self time for mischiefs or for their pleasure that they won't have to listen to parent's guidances.
So if a country want's to develop then we have to make a plan for 20 years. This 20 years can produce a quality skilled wise people with working habit. Who knows the value of working. Who knows have no such unreal goals. Who have no such risk of losing hope. That's all.
